About Us

Who we are and what we’re about.

For People Who Think In Pictures

The Photographer Club is a second home for photographers of every level, and for people curious about the creative process. You don’t have to be a full time working pro to feel at ease here. We’re just a place for photographers to hopefully nourish their passion for making pictures, and to encourage others to make better work.

Our contributors are people like you. People into pictures, words, and thinking about how to express yourself, hence the interviews with actors, musicians, and other artists.

We don’t talk gear (unless an interview subject wants to). But we will talk shop. And we’ll always try to keep it real. Come along.

Our Mission

To tell stories, share pictures, and run interviews that matter to someone. It doesn’t have to be everyone. But if they matter to someone, then we’re happy.

We believe a website for people who adore photography can be both intelligent and beautiful. Our hope is to create a space where in field work is shared, how to guides are real world practical, and photographers both established and emerging are given room to resonate.

What we cover

Whether it’s a conversation with a professional photographer or a cultural pulse-check from a rising or established creative voice, we aim to inform, provoke, inspire, and encourage.

Regular sections include:

  • In The Field
  • Industry Chat
  • Culture
  • Interviews
  • Community Pictures
  • Focus On
  • Exhibitions & Events
  • Photographers’ Books
  • Real World Guides

Our Editorial Approach

We stand for responsible, ethical publishing with no AI involvement in words or pictures. Where errors occur, we correct them. If we offend through a different point of view, we welcome the feedback, but stand by the principal that not everyone has the same take on a subject.

We pursue inspiration, creativity, and resonance with you, not because it sounds nice, but because we think these principles need to be protected in a treadmill age.

Submissions

We’re always open to submissions that reflect the diversity of thought, identity, and experience of our creative world.
Visit our Submissions page to find out more.

Community Pictures

You don’t have to be an avid reader of this site to submit a picture in the From The Community section. There are a few boxes to tick, but hopefully it all makes sense.
